Identity for Shock & Awe, a creative collective that was formed out of disillusionment with a modern art/content/cultural landscape that prioritizes aesthetics and quantity above meaning, substance, and quality. The group serves to create multidisciplinary works that catalyze “progress through provocation” through irreverent, progressive work that is global, original, meaningful, and (hopefully) unable to be ignored. The identity is an environment of coded repetition, often disrupted or disjointed, coupled with layered, corporeal collage and organic textures to convey a sense of duality, be it human and algorithm, digital and material, the straightforward and the obscured.
